Of course, the M1 Macs are optimised for FCPX, but a lot of people that shoot with the Panasonic Lumix S5, S1, and S1H love to utilise the RAW output and shoot BMRAW, so I thought i’d show that off as well.
What is the mac mini compatable with pro#
If i’m being honest, the M1 Mac Mini is still an absolutely insane machine in 2022 and I still use it 99% of the time for my video and photo editing as a full-time photographer/videographer.Ī lot of videos out there also don’t go into too much depth about the M1 and M1 Pro performance when editing in Da Vinci Resolve, and now that Black Magic have just released Da Vinci Resolve 18 that has better support for Apple Silicon and the M1 ecosystem, I thought it would be timely to show how these computers do inside of Resolve. If you’ve been on the fence about what M1 Machine to purchase for video editing and photo editing specifically, then hopefully this video will give you some clarity. The keyboard is the only device which may present some issues. The only concerns with those are that the mini still have it's DVI to VGA adapter, and you'll have the best results using a USB mouse (which are cheap and easy to come by). There’s already so many videos on these new M1 Pro and M1 Max laptops, and while some do cover the video editing performance of these machines, I thought it would be interesting to actually compare my real world thoughts on the M1 Pro MacBook Pro when putting it up against my 2 year old M1 Mac Mini that I still use everyday. Displays and mice are no big deal, they do not have to be Mac specific to work with the mini. I’ve been using Apple Silicon machines exclusively now for around 2 years and recently I got the newest addition to the team – the M1 Pro MacBook Pro. Use code JOSHCAMERON or click the link above.
